I received news this morning that filled me with anxiety. Coincidentally, my children are hosting a film day / play day with their "crew." I am struggling with being a gracious host, while another aspect of my life holds a great deal of uncertainty.
The last film day hit a snag when the pizza came too late. Today, it was early. The lemonade is made. The paper products are available. The "play day" children are behaving themselves, and there haven't been any disputes to my knowledge. Why am I freaking out?
Oh, that's right, because being a Mom, a Hostess, and an Executive Producer are only a few of the hats I wear. I am also a wife, a daughter, a sister, and a friend. Today, one of the other hats is chafing underneath the mom-hostess-executive-producer hat. I feel like a sheep without a shepherd to guide me.
